EveryChild’s approach to children without parental care
‘Every child deserves a family’ outlines EveryChild’s unique approach to children living without their parents. We define what we mean by children living without parental care and identify the different categories of children living in these challenging situations. We examine the complex reasons for a loss of parental care, and the impact of living without parents on children’s rights. To help us write the report we consulted over 400 children in ten countries who live in residential care, on the streets or in vulnerable families.
