Saved from a life on the streets - Ethiopia
There are over 60,000 street children in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital. Many of them are in the Merkato area, where EveryChild works. Children here are at great risk of violence, abuse and exploitation. Poverty amongst local families also forces many children out of the home and onto the street.
EveryChild works with hundreds of children in the area to provide them with education, financial support for their families and an alternative to life on the streets.
