EveryChild was born out of the successes and experiences of two like-minded organisations working to change the lives of vulnerable children across the world. These organisations merged ten years ago and over the next two weeks EveryChild and our supporters will be celebrating this very special anniversary.

Over the past 10 years EveryChild has worked with thousands of children and their families in 25 countries across the world. As part of our celebrations we will be honouring 10 inspiring people who have contributed hugely to EveryChild’s successful work with a ’10 for 10’ award. These include supporters in the UK, businesses that have raised vital funds and our profile, staff members working with communities overseas, people who have overcome difficult childhoods or family-lives to devote themselves to helping others, and a legend of British entertainment. You can find out more here.

Five of our award winners from overseas are visiting London this week to receive their awards and share their experiences at a series of events and meetings. On the 15th May they will help us mark the International Day of Families by delivering letters to David Cameron to ask that the 24 million children across the world currently living without parental care considered in the UN’s new development goals. EveryChild is encouraging their supporters to write to their MPs too – take a look at www.everychild.org.uk/postMDGs.

Of course our award winners are just a few of the thousands of people that have helped us celebrate 10 successful years – we want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years. Take a look at our special EveryChild is 10 pages to find out more about our past successes and our plans for an even more fruitful future.

It’s going to be an action packed couple of weeks and we want you to be part of it. Visit www.everychild.org.uk/everychild10 and find out how you can get involved!
