EveryChild supporters have been calling on governments and international donors to recognise the right of every child to grow up in a loving family environment in advance of the UN Summit starting 22nd September in New York. Here world leaders will gather to map out how they can meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGS) by 2015.
A group of 10 EveryChild supporters presented hundreds of signatures to the Deputy Prime Minister and the International Development Secretary this week as part of an event organised by BOND to push for concrete results from the summit. Find out more here
In India EveryChild is working to end the discrimination, abuse and exploitation children from low caste communities routinely face. These children, like millions around the world, are not accounted for by the MDGs. Working away from home and dropping out of school means they often slip through the net. Yet these marginalised children are the ones who would benefit most from the realisation of the MDGs.
