Thomas is the Project Coordinator for EveryChild’s Bulala Child Protection Project in Malawi. Thomas’ childhood was blighted by poverty and abuse following his parents’ separation. Spurred on by the desire for a better life, Thomas put his energies into his education and now works tirelessly with local communities to address issues such as child marriage, child labour, and low school attendance.
Thanks to his team’s work, the school drop-out and early marriage rate of girls in Bulala has reduced dramatically.

On the 15th May Thomas helped us mark the International Day of Families by delivering a letter to David Cameron asking that the 24 million children across the world currently living without parental care are considered in the UN’s new development goals.
