On Friday 20th May 2011 30 keen walkers from the EveryChild corporate partner, Futures for Kids walked the 35mile route to work, from Tunbridge Wells in Kent to their offices in the City of London. This magnificent feat (!) has so far raised a fantastic £37,000.00 for EveryChild and the other benefiting charities, HOPE HIV and Demelza House. The day was a mixture of fun and endeavour as the walkers set-off from Tunbridge Wells at 6.30am and passed through Sevenoaks, Chelsfield, Chislehurst, Greenwich and Canary Wharf, before the first walkers began arriving at the finish point in the City shortly after 6pm. Exhausted and exhilarated after their efforts many of the walkers have already expressed a desire to do it all again next year.
Futures for Kids is a focal point for people in the Futures and Options industry who want to make a long-term improvement in the lives of vulnerable children around the world.
