We currently have sponsorship programmes in eight countries across the world.
They are in:
However at present we are only placing new sponsors into our priority projects below.
In the Bulala Project, in Malawi, we work to protect orphaned and abandoned children from abuse and exploitation. We work with the community to abolish child labour and improve access to education. By encouraging an understanding of HIV/AIDS we can stem the spread of this devastating disease to prevent even more children from becoming separated from their families. This project is a priority and desperately needs sponsors.
Our Engal Kural Project aims to prevent children being forced to work and helps them to grow up in a safe and secure family environment. This community is seen as the lowest of the low in the caste system and children are at very high risk of being sold into bonded labour, a form of slavery to pay of debts. We are working with families and communities to abolish this practice and give them their childhoods back. This project is a priority and desperately needs sponsors.
In our Bidugade Project we are working with children and families in one of the most marginalised communities in India today. Within this community the Devadasi practice has become a smokescreen for sexual slavery and is now a major factor pushing young girls into prostitution. Your support will help us to improve children’s access to education, so that they can develop the vital skills they need to break free from poverty, as well as helping women to increase their income allowing their daughters to escape sexual slavery. This project is a priority and desperately needs sponsors.
