Nadine Nohr was appointed Chair of EveryChild in January 2008. She has served on our Board of Trustees since March 2005.
Nadine has 15 years of experience in international television distribution. As the former Managing Director of Granada International, she had responsibility for all areas of Granada International, spanning international sales, investment in independent productions and the securing of overseas funding through co-production deals.
Mark has 25 years' experience as an investment banker. He is Partner and Head of Financial Services at KPMG Corporate Finance in London. Previously he was Head of Corporate Finance at Fox-Pitt, Kelton; prior to that he worked for CSFB and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. He joined the EveryChild Board of Trustees in 1997, and is Treasurer and Chair of the Finance sub-committee.
Dorothy Dalton
Dorothy, a former mathematician and headteacher, specialises in charity governance. She is editor of governance: essential information for effective trustees and author of several publications on governance.
Her childhood in India gave her a great love of travel. During her spare time, Dorothy organises and leads month-long challenging expeditions for disabled and disadvantaged teenagers to remote corners of the world as well as organising and participating in fundraising expeditions such as crossing the Jordanian Desert by camel or canoeing, kayaking and white-water rafting the Zambezi between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
Formerly the Head of Marketing and Corporate Services for Gartmore, Avril chose to read Law in 2002 following on from her 30 year career in the City, half of which was spent in Marketing. She joined the EveryChild Board of Trustees in 2001 and is Chair of the Fundraising and Marketing sub-committee.
Robert has spent most of his career in international development. After working with VSO in India, he held a range of positions with the Department for International Development in Africa and Asia, as well as London. He has been a director of the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He became a Trustee in early 2006, and is Chair of the Programme sub-committee.
Currently Organisational Development Specialist for the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, Trevor was Chair of the Terrence Higgins Trust in the early 1990s. He currently chairs Positive Lives, an international photography project documenting the impact of the global HIV/AIDS epidemic. For over 25 years Trevor worked for IFPI, the international trade association for the music industry and was its Director of Administration and Planning 1993-2006. Trevor joined the EveryChild Board of Trustees in October 2006.
Anne Richards is Chief Investment Officer of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC. After graduating in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, she moved to Geneva to take up a research fellowship. Since returning to the UK in 1989, she received an MBA and held a variety of roles within the fund management industry. She is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, a Member of Council of the Duchy of Lancaster and a Trustee of the Jubilee Trust. Anne joined the EveryChild Board of Trustees in late 2005.
David comes from a social work background and has a career spanning social work, higher education, management and overseas development. For the past 18 years he has worked in a freelance capacity with a special interest in separated children and child protection and care in large scale emergencies. He has published a total of nine books on these subjects as well as providing consultancy, mainly to Save the Children organisations and UN bodies. He joined the board in October 2008.
Before becoming CEO of Mencap, Jo was the Director of Social Services for Cheshire. She is also a Trustee of the Who Cares? Trust. She joined the EveryChild Board of Trustees in 2004.
