Trek Morocco 2005
At the beginning of October 2005, ten EveryChild trekkers took part in a three day trek through the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco.They set off from the village of Tassa Ouirgane in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
Spectacular views
Over the next three days, the group trekked a distance of
45 kilometres, climbing to a maximum altitude of 2,850 metres, finishing up in Tizi N'Aguersioual.
The views along the way were spectacular and literally breathtaking - making the steep climbs and tricky descents worthwhile.
The perfect ending
The trip climaxed with a visit to the bustling markets in Marrakech and a well earned feast at Moroccan restaurant complete with belly dancers and delicious Moroccan cuisine.
This trip raised over £ 15,500 for EveryChild and it was so enjoyable that another trip has been planned for April 2007.
