Louise completed the marathon for EveryChild for the second year running, crossing the finish line in 5 hours and 14 minutes.
"The first time I ran for EveryChild was an experience I didn't think could be topped, but this second year was just as amazing. Again, EveryChild have been so supportive with newlsetters, phone calls and emails making sure that we were all prepared and happy! To see the team out on the course was a real boost - there was no way they would see me walking!
Raising funds was just as fantastic, knowing again that lives are going to be changed for the better with the money raised from all of us runners. Amazing day, amazing team."
Richard was the fastest EveryChild runner, making his way over the finish line in a fantastic 3 hours and 29 minutes - well done Richard!
"I was delighted to be able to run the London Marathon for EveryChild...The support I received from them in the run-up to the race was fantastic - the monthly tip-sheets being a great source of ideas on how to increase sponsorship totals, as well as a suitable reminder that pasta and Omega-3-rich fish were a better pre-race snack than Easter eggs!
I decided to have my name printed on my EveryChild running vest to encourage spectators to shout some words of encouragement at me. This plan seemed to work, and the support throughout the course from family, friends and other spectators was fantastic. The strategically positioned EveryChild cheerers at miles 13 and 22 were a great motivation just when energy levels began to sap.
I finished the race in 3 hours 29 minutes and 1 second - a personal triumph given that this was my first ever marathon. To top it all, I even managed to smash my own sponsorship target - a great result for everyone concerned!"
Angela crossed the finish line in 5 hours and 43 minutes.
"I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your support whilst I was training for the marathon. I am so glad I completed the 26.2 miles and that I have helped to raise money for such a worthy charity. Thank you to all of the EveryChild supporters who were on the route - it helped so much with motivation. Who knows, I might even do it again next year!!"
Carlos completed the marathon in 4 hours and 51 minutes and even managed to get on the BBC TV coverage. Well done and thank you, Carlos!
"Running the marathon started as a personal challenge, but then I realised that so much effort could only make sense if put to an even better purpose; fundraising for EveryChild's cause gave me what I needed.
Did it hurt? Gosh, it did - but only in the region between my ears and my toes, and only when i breathed in or out! Was it worth it?Every step of it.
I wish to thank EveryChild for how well they treated me...But much more importantly, I wish to thank EveryChild for the amazing work that they do around the world." Carlos
Matt completed the marathon in 4 hours and 58 minutes and kept smiling all the way. He too managed to get on to the BBC TV coverage. Well done!
"Thank you very much to everyone at EveryChild. The support on the day was priceless especially on the second time I passed you. The goodie bag was also a really nice touch and some of the potions have already been used to soothe my legs!" Matt

"I thoroughly enjoyed my 2006 London Marathon! It was just the most fantastic day, and not one I will forget in a rush. Supporters lined the whole route and really kept us all going. Thank you also to EveryChild for cheering me on and being so supportive. I hope to run for you some time in the future, once the legs have recovered!"
Carole travelled from Bahrain to compete in her second running event for EveryChild, crossing the finish line in 5 hours and 28 minutes - well done and thank you very much!
"I felt very nervous in the few days before 23rd April having only ever taken part in one race before; a 10K run for EveryChild in July 2005. However, once I arrived at Greenwich Park and met some of the other people in my start area I relaxed, realising that I wasn't the only one who wouldn't be blazing a trail around the course! I enjoyed the day immensely. I ran slowly but steadily and never felt that I couldn't go on. I finished comfortably, and apart from the inevitable sore feet, felt fine and very pleased with myself.
Two years ago I thought I was doing well if I ran 5K and now I have managed 42K. The support from the spectators is great and there is a lot to see which helps the time pass. I was really pleased to see the EveryChild team twice and appreciated their loud cheer. Many thanks to everyone for their support."
Teacher Jo ran with her colleague John Whitehead to compete in her first London Marathon. She crossed the finish line in 4 hours and 44 minutes, with John just a second behind. Well done Jo!
John crossed the finish line one second after his colleague Jo.
Their school - Buckhurst Hill Community Primary School - first supported EveryChild during the Make Poverty History campaign last year. This year the school has continued to fundraise for EveryChild by holding a mini-marathon and a non-uniform day to raise sponsorship for Jo and John's marathon efforts.
We would also like to thank the third member of the BHCPS Team, Rebecca Maddox. Unfortunately Rebecca had to pull out of the marathon due to an injury but we are grateful for the part she has played in fundraising for EveryChild. Thank you and well done to everyone at BHCPS!

"I have had the most amazing, exhilirating and unforgettable experience running the London Marathon. Thank you to everyone who generously sponsored me & helped me to fulfill this challenge"

"After being extremely apprehensive, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole Marathon experience. The crowds spurred me on, distracting me from mile counting and worrying about aches and pains.
I achieved a time well inside my target and faster than most of my training runs, so was extremely proud of myself. Thanks to all the support and EveryChild for making it happen for me."
Shelley completed the marathon in 4 hours and 38 minutes - well done!
