Face-to-Face fundraising is where fundraisers from EveryChild talk to individuals on the street or in their homes or businesses about the charity and ask them to support EveryChild with a regular monthly donation. Face-to-Face fundraising brings in thousands of new supporters every year to EveryChild. It is a very cost-effective method of fundraising for the charity to use.
We have been using this method of fundraising for 4 years. Our team of fundraisers work directly for EveryChild and earn an hourly wage - they are not on commission. We have a small team of about 15 fundraisers, some of whom have been working for us for years.
Our fundraisers receive regular training and appraisals and their approach is monitored closely. All of our fundraisers adhere to the Institute of Fundraising’s code of practice on Face-to-Face fundraising. This involves them not being rude or putting pressure on a person to support us. The fundraisers all end conversations politely when asked to do so.
Most people have very positive experiences with Face-to-Face fundraisers, as it gives them the opportunity to ask questions and have detailed conversations about the charity’s work.

We use an agency called Fundraising Initiatives Ltd to do our door-to-door fundraising. They work in London and the Home Counties and in Glasgow. They also have a stand in Glasgow Airport and fundraise for us there. They are licensed by the council to fundraise in locations which are allocated by the PFRA, under the Doorstep Voluntary Management Scheme. They are licensed under this scheme to fundraise Mon – Sat between 8am and 9pm, but are most likely to call after 1.30pm and before 9pm.
