India – Around 10,000 children from poor Dalit communities have benefited from 225 child activity centres
Malawi – 2,805 children have received books, pencils and pens allowing them to attend regular classes at school
Cambodia – 1,712 children have benefited from 27 nonformal education classes. 370 of the children have been mainstreamed into state school
Former Soviet Union and Eastern European countries – Russia,
Moldova, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Romania and Bulgaria – 2,320 children were prevented frombeing placed in institutional care
Moldova – Two new Parent and Baby Units have so far prevented 13 babies from being abandoned into institutional care, and the Prevention of Child Abandonment Programmes in Chisinau and Ungheni hospitals prevented 99 babies from being sent to baby homes

Romania – Social workers helped 1,833 children and their families
overcome various crisis situations with financial and legal advice, as well as help in finding full-time employment
Malawi – 942 families looking after AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children were supported with farming equipment, fertilizers and maize seed, and financial assistance so they can stay together
Russia – 3,158 children and parents have benefited from our family strengthening services, including social, legal, psychological and education support and advice
Guyana – 1,306 children exposed to violence and abuse in the home have received our counselling services. 388 families benefited from training in parenting skills, encouraging alternative methods of disciplining children
Peru – 2,488 children have taken part in rights-awareness, communication and self protection training sessions to help them deal with violence in the home. 78 teachers and 1,003 parents were trained in how to detect and prevent abuse and violence in the home
