Removing children from institutional careIn former Soviet Union countries – Moldova, Ukraine, zerbaijan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan – 585 children have been taken out of institutions and reintegrated with their families, or placed in a foster-care family.
India – 508 children who had run away from home and ended up living on railway station platforms in Bangalore were successfully reintegrated back with their biological or extended families
Malawi – 21 children who were withdrawn from child labour have been reintegrated into their families
Ethiopia – 25 victims of sexual abuse or exploitation have been rehabilitated and found safeand secure homes within their communities or extended family
