What do people get out of giving to charity? A good question and one which EveryChild's generous supporters were only too keen to answer in a new BBC radio documentary.
Anne Elliot is an ambitious entrepreneur and mother of two, currently sponsoring an 11 year old girl in Malawi through EveryChild. Anne tells the BBC she is passionate about sponsoring, spurned on by a strong belief in the fight for female rights and education.
"The young girl I sponsor could one day be president of Malawi," says Anne. "Part of my motivation is to help her fulfil that potential."
Anne says she is always impressed by the support and advice she receives from our sponsorship team and is confident that her money is really making a difference.
The BBC documentary-makers also join one of our face-to-face fundraisers, Dugald Ferguson, for a day on the streets of London to find out why he chose to fundraise for EveryChild and how he convinces busy shoppers and commuters to give to a good cause.
