By establishing an international alliance, EveryChild hopes to form a strong network of civil society organisations, who will together be able to mobilise knowledge, skills and resources. This will result in more children growing up within caring families or in appropriate, alternative permanent care.

The alliance will:

• Conduct research to better understand the real situation for children without parental care.

• Promote these research findings to decision makers both nationally and internationally for changes which will reduce the number of children without parental care.

Share existing expertise and continuous learning between members, so that they can improve their own practices as well as helping other organisations improve theirs.

The coalition will measure its success by looking at the changes in both policies and practice and by listening to a variety of stakeholders including children, organisations working for children and governments.

> The coalition is developing a new way to measure it’s success.
