Family for Every Child convenes experts meeting to position child protection within the post Millienium Development Goal.

On Tuesday 1^st May, Family for Every Child convened the ‘Experts Meeting on Child Protection and the Post-Millennium Development Goal (MDG) Agenda.’ It was well attended and included representatives from UNICEF, Save the Children and USAID.

The conversation was lively and informative; with a detailed discussion on whether child protection should be a separate issue or promoted as a crucial part of achieving other goals, such as growth.

This led to a number of positive conclusions, such as the setting up of working groups to take these ideas forward and an agreement to develop a shared paper on positioning Child Protection within the post-2015 framework.
