ChildLink

ChildLinK Inc. is a local non governmental organisation whose mandate is to give orphans and vulnerable children who are or risk being separated from their families or community a safe and secure future. ChildLinK’s vision is a Guyanese society where every child has the right to grow up in a safe and secure family and community. ChildLinK uses a children’s rights-based approach to achieve positive changes in the lives of vulnerable children in the short-term and to contribute to the long-term development of Guyana’s child protection system and transformation of society’s knowledge, attitudes and behaviours with regard to children’s rights to protection from abuse, exploitation and violence. ChildLinK programmes have provided counselling and capacity building directly to children, parents and caregivers, community groups and service providers. The programmes have also facilitated the development of child protection policies, procedures and tools for use by governmental and non governmental organisations in Guyana.
